TickTrack - Work Time Tracker
Last updated: Jun 21, 2026
TickTrack ("the app", "we", "our") is a work-time tracking application developed and maintained by Deval Sathwara ("the developer"). This privacy policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and your rights regarding that information.
By using TickTrack, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
TickTrack collects only the information you actively create within the app. All of it stays on your device unless you choose to export it.
| Data type | What it includes | Where it's stored |
|---|---|---|
| Work sessions | Check-in time, check-out time, break start/end times, work duration, gap periods | On-device (Hive database) |
| Session notes | Short text notes you add to a session (max 120 characters each) | On-device (Hive database) |
| App settings | Theme preference, accent colour, notification toggles, daily work-hour goal, week-off days | On-device (Hive database) |
| Notification state | Whether you are checked in today, last check-in time, last check-out date - used only to decide when to fire reminders | On-device (SharedPreferences) |
| FCM device token | An anonymous device identifier generated by Google Firebase, used to deliver push notifications to your device | Google's servers (see Third-Party Services below). The developer does not store or process this token. |
We do not collect: your name, email address, phone number, location, contacts, photos, camera, microphone input, or any other personal identifiers.
The only third-party involvement is Google Firebase (described below), which processes an anonymous device token solely for push notification delivery. No user-created content (sessions, notes, settings) ever leaves your device unless you choose to export it via the CSV export feature and share it yourself.
We may disclose information if required to do so by law or in response to a valid legal request. In practice, because we do not collect or store any personal data on our own servers, there is nothing to disclose.
TickTrack integrates one external service. Its own privacy policy governs how it handles data:
Used to deliver optional push notifications to your device. Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) assigns an anonymous device token to your installation. This token is handled entirely by Google - the developer does not receive, store, or process it on any backend server.
Firebase may collect device diagnostic information according to Google's own policies.
→ Google Firebase Privacy Policy → Google Privacy PolicyTickTrack requests the following Android permissions. None of them are used to collect personal data.
All work sessions, notes, and settings are stored exclusively in an on-device database (Hive) and in Android SharedPreferences. No data is uploaded to the internet by the app itself.
Your data persists as long as the app is installed. When you uninstall TickTrack, Android removes all associated app data, including the Hive database. You can also manually export your sessions as a CSV file before uninstalling if you want to keep a copy.
TickTrack lets you export your session history as a CSV file and share it via any app you choose (e.g. email, cloud storage). Once you share the file, it leaves the app's control and is handled according to the privacy policy of the app or service you shared it with.
Imported CSV files are processed locally on your device and are not transmitted anywhere.
TickTrack is designed for adults and working professionals. It is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided data through the app, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.
Because all data is stored locally on your device, its security depends primarily on the security of your device itself. We recommend using a screen lock and keeping your Android OS up to date.
The app does not transmit session data over the network, so there is no risk of interception of your work records in transit.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised. For significant changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you (for example, via an in-app notice or a Play Store update description).
Continued use of TickTrack after a policy update constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
